NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program | National Novel Writing Month: "In 2006, over 15,000 kids and teens took part in National Novel Writing Month's Young Writers Program. Aimed at authors 12-and-under, and those taking part in the adventure as part of an entire K-12 classroom, the Young Writers Program allows participants to choose their own word-count goal for the month. The YWP site is separate from the NaNoWriMo main site, and is a fun, high-velocity environment geared towards students and teachers, with curricula, games, and exercises for elementary, middle, and high school students."
